The West Bengal Government has formed a state level Police complaints Authority to enquire in to allegations against senior police officers. Replying to a question in State Assembly today the Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee said that, the five members committee is headed by the retired Justice N.C. Singh. The committee will look into the allegations of inhuman behaviors of the senior police officers including committing rape and torture in the custody. The committee will work in co-ordination with the state Human Rights Commission. The Chief Minister also informed the house that the Government has also constituted a State Level Security Commission on functioning of police force in the state.
