WB decides to open 40 Model Schools in under developed regions

The West Bengal government has decided to open 40 Model Schools in under developed regions in the State. Giving this information in Kolkata today the State School Education Secretary Mr. Bikram Sen told that these schools will be set up in 87 blocks in Bankura, Purulia, West Midnapur, Birbhum, Coochbehar and Darjeeling districts. Mr. Sen said that centre will bear 75 percent cost of the total expenditure of the project while rest will be borne by the State. The Centre has already given clearance for opening 38 model schools out of 40 recommend by the West Bengal Government.
