WB decides to increase upper age limit for Group ‘C’ & Group ‘D’ employees

The West Bengal Government has decided to increase the upper age limit of joining the state Government Service from 37 years of age to 40, for Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ employees. Talking to newspersons at the Writers’ Buildings in Kolkata on Friday the state Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee said after a cabinet meeting that the age limit has been increased keeping the interest of the un-employed youth in the state. The Chief Minister also said that the upper age limit for the Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribes has been extended to 45 years of age; while the upper age limit for physically handicapped candidates has been increased to 43 years.
