WB: CPI-M expels former MP Laxman Seth for anti party activities

In West Bengal, the CPIM today expelled former M.P Laxman Seth for anti party activities . The party took the decision after Seth openly praised the Trinamul Congress supremo and state Chief Minster Mamata Banerjee for restoration of peace in Darjeeling and Jungle Mahal .

The rebel CPI-M leader also criticised the party's Politburo member and former Chief Minster of the State Buddhadev Bhattacharjee on Nandigram police firing in 2007 in which 14 persons were killed . The CPI-M denied nomination to him for this Lok Sabha election.
