West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has called on Muslim Minority of the state to take a lead role in the development of the state. He was addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone of the Aliya University at the heart of Kolkata on Wednesday. He said that his Government is always alive to a situation where any individual’s education is stalled due to lack of finances. The Chief Minister said that a few more professional courses will be started in the state for the backward Muslim students. He said that the state has to emphasis a scientific and Engineering curriculum apart from Islamic studies.
