WB Assembly witness strong agitation by Congress, Trinamul

The Congress and the Trinamul Congress today agitated strongly in demand of the arrest and punishment of the accused in the killing of Bardhawan district’s Saibari on the 40 anniversary of the carnage. The agitation ran for more than half an hour in the West Bengal Assembly. <br/><br/>After the question hour session, and adjournment motion was brought in the house by the two parties. When the Speaker Mr Hasim Abdul Halim disallowed the motion of the Trinamul Congress and Congress members stormed into the well of the house and started sloganeering.<br/><br/>The members of the two parties agitated with placards, flag and festoons demanding the immediate dismissal of the alleged of the murderer, the state minister for industries, Mr Nirupam Sen. <br/><br/>They also demanded arrest of CPI(M) leaders Mr Binay Kongar and Mr Anil Basu on the same allegation. As the Speaker rejected all demands, the opposition walked out of the house.
