The Monsoon Session of the West Bengal Assembly began today. However, it was adjourned for the day after making obituary references who died during inter-session period. This includes former Vice-President of India Bhairo Singh Shekhawat, noted academician Professor Bhabotosh Dutta, noted actor Shyamanand Jalan, Nil Kanth Sengupta, Tapen Chatterjee and who died in the accident of Gyaneswari Express. The Speaker of the House Mr. Hasim Abdul Halim read out the condolence messages and members observed two minutes silence in the memory of departed souls.<br/> <br/>AIR Kolkata correspondent understands that the session is likely to be a stormy one in view of changed political scenario in the state. The opposition Trinamool Congress and Congress alliance are likely to raise the issues in the house on deterioration of law and order including growing menace of Maoists and hike of prices of essential commodities in the state<br/>
