The West Bengal Government on Friday announced a new financial package for the Maoists who will shun the path of violence. Announcing this, in Kolkata on Friday, the State Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee said that the government will give two thousand rupees per month for 3 years who will surrender arms.Besides, she also announced increase in amount on surrender of arms and a fix deposit of 1 lakh fifty thousand rupees. Ms. Banerjee again appealed to the Maoists to come back to the main stream of life and said that the government will look after their families after surrender. The Chief Minister informed that the government has already taken initiative to release fifty political prisoners.
