In West Bengal, stage is set for tomorrow’s first phase of Assembly Elections. Preparations for holding the election have been completed. The first phase of Assembly Election will take place in 54 seats covering six North Bengal districts. Most of poll personnel have already reached their destinations.The State Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Sunil Gupta told newsmen in Kolkata this afternoon that all the polling booths in North Bengal will be manned by the central force.All necessary steps have been taken to ensure free and fair voting. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports that over 97 lakh 46 thousands voters will decide the fate of 364 candidates.Altogether 12 thousands 131 polling booths have been set up. Inter-state and International boarders along North Bengal have been sealed to prevent entry of unwanted persons. 28 general observers, 9 expenditure observers and 3 police observers is continuously monitoring the situation.
