In West Bengal 71 new cases of Dengue fever have been reported. With this, the total figure of Dengue affected people in the state has risen to 1 thousand 2 hundred and 93. Out of this, the maximum number of 786 people have been reported in Kolkata alone. The state health department sources have confirmed that no new death from the disease has taken place in last 24 hours. According to the State Government sources the number of deaths due to Dengue is 5, although un-official sources claim that the death-toll is much higher. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee again reviewed the situation at a meeting in Writers’ Building in Kolkata on Tuesday.
