Waterlogging hits Konkan Railway services

In Maharashtra, services on the Konkan Railway route continued to remain affected for the second consecutive day today due to accumulation of mud and water on tracks near Pomendi village between Ratnagiri and Nivsar.

AIR correspondent from Ratnagiri reports train services remained suspended between Adavali and Ratnagiri since Friday morning.

Several trains are cancelled even today causing inconvenience to passengers. Alternate arrangements have been made by Konkan Railway for passengers who have got stuck at Ratnagiri and Adavali stations.

Heavy rainfall in the area has been delaying the work of restoration of services on this route. In the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 a.m. this morning, Ratnagiri district has received 105 mm of rainfall.
