The water charges in the National Capital will go costly from January 1st of next year.The board meeting of Delhi Jal Board, chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit yesterday in New Delhi, approved the increase in water charges to meet the increasing revenue shortfall of the cash-strapped board. Mrs Dikshit will make a formal announcement this afternoon on the slabs and new rates of water charges. The DJB has been pressing for hike in water charges for quite some time to meet its ever increasing operational cost.<br/>
