As per the report released by Ministry of Water Resources, the Water storage available in 91 important reservoirs of the country as on September 03, 2015 was 92.922 Billion cubic metres (BCM) which is 59% of total storage capacity of these reservoirs. This storage is 84% of the storage of corresponding period of last year and 84% of storage of average of last ten years. <br/><br/>States having better storage than last year for corresponding period were Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Tripura, Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh. States having lesser storage than last year for corresponding period were Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
