Visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said water sharing of common rivers of India and Bangladesh is in the interest of both the countries. Addressing a function in New Delhi, Ms Hasina said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reiterated India's resolve to solve the Teesta water sharing issue at the earliest. <br/><br/>On West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's stand on water sharing issue, the Bangladesh Prime Minister said, she had a word with her in this regard. She said though her country has not got water but is getting electricity from India which is a matter of satisfaction. Ms Hasina said once the water sharing is resolved, India-Bangladesh relations will undergo further transformation. Ms Hasina said, Bangladesh has established 100 economic zones to boost industrialisation. She hoped that her country will be able to achieve 8 per cent GDP growth by 2020. <br/><br/>On the occasion, Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dhramendra Pradhan said Indo- Bangladesh trade relations have grown in recent years. He said, India is working with Bangladesh in new areas such as hydrocarbons.
