Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said government is focusing on the development of water transport in a big way as it is the cheapest means of transportation. He said that a water route between Delhi to Agra will be started soon. <br/><br/>Gadkari was said this today after laying foundation stone of several road projects at Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh. The minister has been pushing for the development of inter-state water transport and such a service has already been started between Varanasi and Malda. <br/><br/>He also launched Rs 4,000 crore worth road connectivity projects in Agra. The projects included Rs 425 crore southern bypass road.<br/><br/>Addressing a public rally in the Taj city, the minister said that work on the Rs 375-crore northern bypass and Rs 1000 crore Agra-Bareilly highway with six lanes will start soon. <br/>
