Water level receding in river Yamuna but still above danger mark

The water level in river Yamuna has come down slightly although it still continues to flow above the danger mark. The river is flowing at 205.77 metres, 94 centimeters above the danger level. According to officials, the water level in the river is expected to come down further. The national capital got a break from heavy rain on Thursday with no rain.The Met department had forecast the sky to remain partly cloudy tomorrow with one or two spells of heavy rain. AIR correspondent reports that this is the wettest August in the national capital in over a decade with the city receiving 114 percent above normal rainfall during August.
