Water level recedes in UP rivers

Water level is receding in rivers in Uttar Pradesh. According to Centre Water Commission water levels of Ghagra River is receding at Elgin Bridge in Barabanki, Ayodhya and Turtipar in Ballia districts.However despite withdrawing, water level is still around at the warning level in these places,the water commission report said.Rapti river is also below the danger mark in Gorakhpur.The State flood Control unit says that water levels in rivers are going to lower again by Tuesday. Meanwhile in Bijnore district after diminishing of flood water, the Nazimabad-Haridwar and Delhi -Pauri road is completely open for all vehicles.The state Met department says that in UP, 127 millimeter rain fall was recorded in Lalitpur district of Jhansi division since Sunday. While 42 mm rainfall recorded in churk under Mirzapur division and Allahabad recorded 20 mm, rain fall during last twenty four hours.In comparison to eastern parts, western UP recorded less rain fall during last twenty four hours. The weather expert says that rain and thunder showers may occur in few places throughout the state during next twenty four hours.
