Water level in Yamuna swelled up

With rains continuing in the catchments areas the water level in river Yamuna has swelled up to 206.16 meters. It is 1.33 meters above the danger mark. According to officials in the Central water Commission, with fresh release of water from the Hatnikund barrage, the water level is expected to rise further. Due to rising water level, the Old Yamuna Bridge has been closed for trafficAccording to Northern railways officials 27 local trains have been cancelled, 59 trains have been terminated short of destination and another 59 have been diverted.
