In Haryana, one lakh four thousand cusecs of water has been discharged from the Hathinikund barrage in Yamuna River today. Although water-level in Yamuna has started receding in Haryana as compared to the last days, normal life is still disrupted in the flood-affected villages of Yamunanagar, Sonepat, Karnal and Panipat districts. According to rough estimates, crops in more than 30 thousand acres of agriculture land have been damaged. The Haryana Education Board has postponed the middle and secondary examinations to 14th of October in view of the prevailing flood situation in the State.
