With heavy rains lashing catchment areas in the last week, water level in the seven reservoirs supplying drinking water to Mumbai has increased to 53.86 per cent. According to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, the total amount of water in all seven lakes is currently 7,79,568 Million Litres while their cumulative capacity is 14,47,363 Million Litres.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #000000;">According to the civic body, Modak Sagar and Tansa Lake started overflowing yesterday. Earlier, Tulsi and Vihar lakes had overflowed due to heavy rains. The lake levels were at 28.77 per cent of total capacity at the same time last year. The civic body supplies 3,850 million litres of water daily to the city.</span><br />
