Water level in Ganga, Ghaghra, Sharda rivers on rise in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, the water level in Ganga, Ghaghra, and Sharda rivers are rising. However, Ganga river is still flowing below the danger level at all places.Central Water Commission said, there is no rise in the level of Yamuna. But water level in Ramganga is rising in Bareilly and Shahjahanpur.AIR correspondent reports, though the water level of Main River is rising in different places but there is no major flood threat in the state. However several low line areas are flooded with river water at different places and damaged mud houses.According to central water commission Ganga is rising in Kannuj,Kanpur Allahaabd Varanansi, Mirzapur and Ballia in last twenty four hours .While Yamuna was rising inNainai only. Sharda and Ghaghara River are posing some threat for Khiri, Barabanki and Faizabad districts and these three were flowing above the warning level in last forty eight hours.Though south west monsoon is active a in the state but there is no rain except for few places in last two days.Khiri district recorded about 7 mm rain in last twenty four hours.According to met department rain and thunder shower may occurred in few places of east UP and in isolated places of west UP in next twenty four hours.
