The wastage of food grains in Food Corporation of India has declined substantially. In a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs C. R. Chaudhary today said that three thousand 115 tonnes food grains were damaged in 2015-16 as against 19 thousand tonnes in 2014-15. <br/><br/>Mr Chaudhary also said, government has enough stock of food grains to meet the demands of the Public Distribution System and other welfare schemes.
