War of words intensifies between BJP & Congress over Robert Vadra's alleged land deals

BJP has alleged that under the patronage of the then Congress government in Rajasthan and present Haryana government, Robert Vadra was allowed to carry out the land deals in the States violating various environmental and land laws. Briefing reporters in New Delhi, party spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged that Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot extended favours to Vadra to protect their chairs.

He also demanded an explanation from Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi that how Vadra made 300 crore rupees in few years by investing only one lakh rupees through his companies. Prasad said, BJP is not targeting an individual but the issue of corruption.

Meanwhile, Congress has described BJP's allegation against Rabort Vadra's land deal as baseless and raising the issue at election time as a cheap political stunt. In a statement the party spokesperson Ajay Maken said that the High Court and Supreme Court have already been thrown out these allegations. Maken said that BJP is panicked due to Priyanka Gandhi's effective campaign in Rae Baeli and Amethi.

Moreover Congress star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi today said she will not keep silent on the personal attacks made against her and her husband Robert Vadra by Narendra Modi and BJP.

Asked about Modi making personal attacks on her and BJP issuing a CD relating to Robert Vadra's alleged land deals, Priyanka said, “let Modi say whatever he wants to, and she will not keep silent.”

Priyanka said she would continue to speak against “destructive, negative and shameful” politics of Modi.

Amid Gandhi family's attacks on Modi over the Gujarat model, BJP today hit back by bringing out a video and a booklet on alleged land deals of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law by terming it as 'Robert Vadra model of development'.

Earlier today, BJP workers showed flags to Priyanka in Ichauli village and raised slogans.
