W20 summit to begin tomorrow at Mahabalipuram near Chennai; PM Modi to virtually address inaugural session

The W20 summit will begin tomorrow at Mahabalipuram near Chennai. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address the inaugural session on Thursday.<br />'' <br />'' Union Minister for Women and Child Development Smriti Irani will deliver the keynote address. The summit with a theme of women-led development to transform, thrive and transcend will be moderated by Dharitri Patnaik, the W 20 chief Coordinator.<br />''        <br />'' The sessions on the road to achieving the sustainable development goals with the agenda on women's health, gender equality, social and economic development will be moderated by Lauren Power, Founder and Advisor of Young Professionals in the foreign policy.  <br />'' <br />'' Discussions on safeguarding the planet through women-led Climate action, transformation through emerging and frontier technologies and accelerating progress, bridging the gender digital divide will take place followed by a cultural evening and dinner with local cuisines.<br />''        <br />'' On 16th there will be a session on breaking the glass ceiling which will be addressed by Bharathi Ghosh, National Spokesperson of BJP. The second session will be on economic empowerment through trade and investment. Dr.Sharmika Ravi, member of Prime Minister's economic council is one of the panelists.<br />'' <br />'' This will be followed by another session on investing in services and infrastructure for an enabling care economy to be addressed by Aditi Das Rout, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and child Development.<br />''        <br />'' Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M.K.Stalin will deliver the keynote address on the closing session on celebrating the power of women's empowerment with closing remarks by Dr.Sandhya Purecha, W 20 Chair 2023.<br />''        <br />'' The delegates will be taken for an excursion organised by the State Department of Tourism to UNESCO heritage sites on 17th.<br />''
