The West Bengal Government has decided to set up a State Highway Authority for construction and maintenance of roads.Announcing this in Kolkata today the Chief Minister Miss Mamata Banerjee said that the body will be set up on the line of National Highway Authority.Miss Banerjee also announced construction of 6 lakh houses for poor homeless people of the state. The construction work will start on next month and will be completed by 2015.
