The West Bengal unit of CPI(M) has stressed the need for strengthening the party organisation rectifying its faults and lapses. After a two-day meeting of the Provincial Committee, Party State Secretary Biman Basu said in Kolkata on Sunday that mass contact with the people have to be intensified rectifying all lapses. Mr. Basu asked the party workers to maintain strong vigil during ongoing revision of voters list in the state with all priorities. He said that recent attack on leftist movements in the state has to be dealt with taking peoples into confidence. The two days state committee meeting were also attended by CPI(M) General Secertary, Prakash Karat, Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and other senior leaders of the party.
