W-20 meeting concludes at Chatrapti Sambhajinagar

In Maharashtra, A two days inception meeting of W20 (Women 20) is an official engagement group under India's G20 Presidency concluded today in Chatrapati Sambhajinagar. Around 150 women dignitaries from member countries, guest countries and special invitees participated in this meeting.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">W-20 chairperson Dr. Sandhya Purecha said, when briefing to the media, that, during the inception meeting of the W20 group, there was a wide discussion on the five priorities set by India in six sessions and two special important sessions. <br />''<br />''All delegates unanimously agreed with priorities and finalized their zero draft, which will be further discussed in every G20 countries representative delegate meeting within the next 15 days. After this discussion, a second draft will be prepared and it will be put up in the next W 20 meeting scheduled in Jaipur in the month of April, she said.  <br />''<br />''</span>The emphasis of W20 will be to influence the G20 Leaders' Declaration and G20 Communiqué and take steps to build consensus for education, skill and economical empowerment of women. W-20 India has adopted the 4C strategy of Collaboration, Cooperation, Communication to build consensus and Call to Action to achieve its mission and goals. Dr. Purecha said India had selected five priority areas for the W20 meeting, which include, Women in Entrepreneurship, Women Leadership at Grassroots, Bridging the Gender Digital Divide, Education & Skill Development and Women & Girls as change makers Climate Resilience Action.<br />''         <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The W-20 delegates also went for a heritage walk today morning, to the historic sites of Bibi Ka Maqbara and Aurangabad Caves and the world-renowned gates of the city. In the evening session delegates visited the world-famous Ellora caves and participated in cultural programmes which were organized to give them a taste of Indian culture and tradition.</span>
