CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry in the suspicious death of TV Today journalist Akshaya Singh. Singh died on 5th of this month in mysterious circumstances in Meghnagar district of Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh while reporting irregularities in Vyapan Scam. Madhya Pradesh Police had carried out inquest proceedings and inquiry of the case has been taken over by the agency.
