Vice President Dr. M. Hamid Ansari today visited Varkala Sivagiri and paid tributes at the Samadhi of Sree Narayana Guru. <br/><br/>Dr. Ansari inaugurated the centenary celebrations of Darshana Mala penned by the Guru in 1916 and planted a sapling at Sivagiri. He also formally opened the new block of the Sree Narayana Senior Secondary School at Varkala. <br/><br/>The Vice President held discussions with the priests at the Sivagiri Mutt before returning to Thiruvananthapuram for a public function in the afternoon.
