Vice President Hamid Ansari has stressed the need for greater understanding among people of different nations through dialogues, discussions and debates.

Addressing the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the India International Centre in New Delhi on Sunday, Mr Ansari said that there should be a fine balance between justice, democracy, human rights and good governance at the global level.

He said that cultivation of tolerance and acceptance of diversity among people are the most important needs of the hour.

The Vice President lauded the India International Centre for acting as a platform for pooling of ideas and models from different countries across the world over the last fifty years.
