Vice President, Prime Minister and Home Minister today paid tributes to eminent educationist and founder of Bhartiya Jan Sangh Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his death anniversary today.<br />'' <br />'' In a tweet, Vice President said, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee was an illustrious son of India and a staunch nationalist.<br />'' <br />'' He said, Dr Mookerjee opposed grant of Special Status to Jammu and Kashmir and fought relentlessly for the complete integration of Jammu and Kashmir till his last breath.<br />'' <br />'' Paying his tributes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, he was a great son of Mother India. Home Minister Amit Shah said, Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee fought for India's Unity and Integrity and laid down his life for it.<br />'' <br />'' Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar also paid tributes to Dr Mookerjee.<br />'' <br />'' BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda paid floral tributes at the statue of Dr Mookerjee at the BJP Headquarters.
