Vice President M Venkehiah Naidu has said that, hard work and discipline are the two important ingredients to make progress in life. Emphasizing on moral values the vice President said that, the student should give utmost importance to their respective Mother language and Mother Land. He was addressing the convocation ceremony of Swami Ram Himalayan University at Jolly Grant in Dehradun today. <br/><br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports, addressing the students of Swami Ram Himalyan University the Vice President said that cultural heritage and traditional values should be protected. He said that, the medical treatment to the patient should be provided as a service to humanity not as a means of profession. <br/><br/>Vice president reiterated on the necessity of protecting regional languages. He said that, student should make maximum communication with each other in their respective mother language. He said that Mother language should be made mandatory at primary schools. He also stated that, without Hindi India cannot make progress to the desired level. <br/><br/>The vice president also felicitated six toppers of different colleges of Himalyan University. On this occasion, 702 students have been awarded with degree. State Governor K. K. Paul and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat were also present on this occasion.
