VP M Venkaiah Naidu, PM Modi join nation in paying homage to martyrs of Jallianwala Bagh massacre on its anniversary

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today joined the nation in paying homage to the martyrs on the anniversary of Jallianwala Bagh massacre.<br />'' <br />'' In a tweet, Mr Naidu said, the gory incident is one of the darkest chapters in India's freedom struggle and a testimony to the innumerable sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the unimaginable hardships underwent by them in freeing India from the British rule. He called upon the people, especially the youth, to draw inspiration from the valor, steely resolve and nationalistic commitment displayed by the freedom fighters and leaders during the freedom movement. He said, everyone must learn from the past and collectively strive to build a glorious future.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Modi said, the nation will never forget their courage and sacrifice. He said, their valour will inspire Indians for the years to come.<br />''  <br />
