Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari reached Nigerian capital Abuja this evening on the first leg of his two nations visit to West Africa. Talking to media on board the special flight, Mr. Ansari said the visit is part of the government's very focused approach to all regions of Africa. <br/><br/>He said President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he himself visited various African countries recently as there is a need to pay much more attention to the region with which India has an age old association. On Terrorism, the Vice President said it is an international phenomena and development badly suffers because of it. <br/><br/>He said the fight against terrorism can be won by exchange of information and several countries have moved forward in this direction. <br/><br/>Mr. Ansari will hold talks with Nigerian President Muhammudu Buhari and Vice President Professor Yemi Osibanjo tomorrow. Several issues including terrorism are high on the agenda. The Vice President will also visit Nigerian city of Lagos before leaving for Mali on Thursday.
