Vice President Hamid Ansari today inaugurated the National Cadet Corps, NCC Republic Day Camp 2016 in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion Mr Ansari urged all the parents to encourage their children to join NCC to get the benefit of educational experience that facilitates character building and transforms the youth into responsible adults.<br/><br/> He further said, those who are keen on challenges and adventures need to look no further than what NCC can offer them. Vice President said, NCC has always provided wide range of activities like weapons training, drills, map reading and defense programmes to its Cadets.<br/><br/>The NCC is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi with more than 13 lakh cadets trained by it so far. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. NCC is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
