Vice President Hamid Ansari has congratulated the University of Delhi on its 49th Formation Day today. In his message, Mr Ansari said, since its foundation in 1922, with 750 students from three colleges, it has grown into one of the largest universities in India.<br/><br/>He said, the University has maintained a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research and has become a role model for other universities in the country. Vice president further said, the academic distinction of the University has attracted the most eminent scholars and the most talented students.
