Elections to the Students Union of two premier universities of Delhi, the Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, are taking place today. Adequate security arrangements have been made by Delhi police at each and every polling centre of Delhi University to prevent any untoward incident.<br/><br/>DS Rawat, Returning Officer DUSU elections, told reporters that 700 EVMs are being used. He said the voting will conduct in two phases across 127 booths at for students of morning and evening colleges. The results of DUSU elections will be declared by Saturday afternoon.<br/><br/> Besides Congress-affiliated National Students' Union of India NSUI and BJP's Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad ABVP, AAP has for the first time, fielded candidates from its students wing, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti, CYSS. In the JNU Students Union election, seven student organizations are in the fray.
