In Chandigarh polling is going on peacefully for the 26 wards of Municipal Corporation of the city. About 5 lakh voters will elect 26 councilors from among 158 candidates.In the first four hours of polling till 12 noon about 30 per cent polling was reported. Main contest is between Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP combine.Four hundred fifty two polling stations have been set up and voting is being conducted through electronic voting machines. Tight security is being maintained in the city. Voting will continue till 5.30 P.M. Results will be declared on Monday.
