The BJP has decided to support the independent candidates in the Rajya Sabha polls in Bihar.

Senior party leader Sushil Kumar Modi said, the decision to vote for the independent candidates – Anil Sharma and Sabir Ali was taken at the BJP legislature party meeting in Patna last evening.

Voting will take place today to fill up two vacancies in the Upper House of Parliament from the state.

AIR correspondent reports that Lalu Prasad led RJD yesterday announed its support to JD-U candidates – Pawan Verma and Gulam Rasool Baliyawi.
