By-election to Suar and Chhanbey Assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh began this morning & is going on smoothly. There is no report of any untoward incident so far. Voting percentage was more than 19% in Suar and more than 18% in Chhanbey constituency till 11 AM. Polling started at 7:00 AM and will continue till 6:00 PM. On both the seats, the ruling coalition's partner Apna Dal (Sonelal) is contesting. Suar assembly seat in Rampur district was declared vacant on February the 13th after a Moradabad court sentenced Abdullah Azam Khan, the son of senior SP leader Azam Khan, to two years in jail in a 15-year-old case.<br />''<br />''Suar seat is witnessing a direct contest between the ruling coalition and the Opposition Samajwadi Party. Apna Dal (Sonelal) has fielded his wife Rinki Kol, whereas Kirti Kol is contesting as a Samajwadi Party candidate. A total of eight candidates are fighting for the seat. Meanwhile, Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party has decided to sit out of the by-elections.<br />
