Voting Concludes for 10 Rajya Sabha Seats in Uttar Pradesh, Results Awaited

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">In Uttar Pradesh, voting for 10 Rajya Sabha seats took place today. There are 11 candidates in the fray for ten seats. BJP has fielded eight candidates and SP has fielded three candidates. Three booths were made in Tilak Hall of Vidhan Bhavan for voting. Voting started from 9 am till 4 pm. Counting of votes has started, results will also be declared by night.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">After the voting, Chief Minister Adityanath expressed confidence of the victory of all the BJP candidates and also extended his best wishes to them. Before voting for the Rajya Sabha elections today, Samajwadi Party leader and Chief Whip in the Assembly Manoj Pandey resigned. This has dealt a big blow to the Samajwadi Party. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav said that courage is needed to vote against this government. He added that disciplinary action would be taken against the MLAs if they had cross voted.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">The counting is underway and results are expected to be declared by night. </p>
