Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), of Manipur P C Lawmkunga on Monday said that all voters in the ensuing Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections will be photographed at every polling station at the time of voting to check impersonation.Briefing media persons on Monday evening at Imphal, the CEO said that the number of photographs taken and the number of votes polled at every polling station will be compared meticulously. He said, the photographs taken at the polling stations will also be verified after thorough checking with the photo electoral rolls of the concerned polling stations. He further said that whenever there is any unconformity in the comparison and verification, the polling stations will go for re-poll.Mr. Lawmkunga said that the photography will be in addition to video webcast monitoring at the polling stations.Earlier, the CEO briefed representatives of political parties at Imphal on Monday afternoon about the instructions of the Election Commission of India for the state assembly elections which have been scheduled on the 28th of the next month.
