In Jaharkhand Assembly, the vote of confidence has been moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Raghubar Das on the floor of the House. Favouring the move the Minister the Minister said that people of the state has voted for a coalition government in the state. Opposing the move, leader of Congress Party Rajendra Prasad Singh said that the government, which has been formed with the support of BJP, AJSU, JMM and independents, is an opportunistic alliance and should not be given the vote of confidence. Congress Ally Jharkhand Vikas Manch leader Pradeep Yadav, vehemently opposing the move, said that the alliance of BJP and JMM cannot continue for a long period since the ideologies of the two parties are poles apart. Senior leader of the coalition Government Simon Marandi favoured the move. The discussion on the move is going on in the House. Earlier,Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren has expressed confidence that he will prove the majority of his government on the floor of the House. He has claimed the support of 46 MLAs in the 81-member House. 18-members of JMM, 20 of NDA, 5 of AJSU- one of Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch, one of Rashtriya Kalyan Paksh and one Independent MLA Bidesh Singh are reported to be extending support to the government.
