The counting of votes is underway for Tiruchirapalli West Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu and Indira Nagar Assembly seat in Puducherry. In Tiruchirapalli, the ruling AIADMK candidate Param Jothi is leading over his nearest rival and DMK candidate K N Nehru by 1219 votes after the completion of second round of counting.In Indira Nagar Assembly seat, the ruling NR Congress candidate Thamizh Selvan is leading over his nearest rival and Congress candidate Aru Mugham by over 4500 votes at the end of 3rd round.By-polls for the two assembly seats were held on the 13th of this month.
