Volunteers of MSO in Mizoram construct makeshift hut with internet connectivity to help students appear for online exam

In the current tough times of Corona pandemic, a large number of people are coming forward to provide essential help to the needy. In Mizoram, volunteers of the Mara Students Organization (MSO), belonging to the Mara tribal community have come up differently, they constructed a makeshift hut using timber, bamboo and plantain leaves at a hilltop where internet connectivity is stable. This has helped students appear for the online exam.
”
”With this built up facility, seven undergraduate students of a remote village in southern Siaha district could appear for their online semester examinations. The students living in Mawhrei village of that district travelled five kms from their village to that hilltop where internet connection is stable to take the online exam.
”
”MSO's General Secretary Judson said that internet connectivity is very unstable in remote areas, but they are happy to make this alternative way for the students of their district. Mizoram University is holding its semester undergraduate exams on online mode from June 2nd.
”
”In the state, many organizations, NGOs, Principals Council, Local and Village Level Task Force, local bodies, churches and individuals have also extended their support for the students by offering internet connection, donating papers and stationery items and arranging necessary tools for the online exam.
