Volcano erupts in southern Japan

<h3><span style="font-family: arial, sans-serif;">In Japan, avolcano erupted this morning on a small Kuchinoerabu island in the southernpart of the country. The  Meteorological agency said in Tokyo that thevolcano is spewing ash and smoke into the air over the sparsely-inhabited area.Public broadcaster NHK said, there are no reports of injuries or damage yetfrom the eruption. The agency has maintained a level three warning, which meansa ban on entering the volcano area. Japan, with scores of active volcanoes,sits on the so-called Pacific "Ring of Fire" where a large proportionof the world's earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are recorded. </span></h3><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: arial, sans-serif;"><br />''<!–[if !supportLineBreakNewLine]–><br />''<!–[endif]–></span>''<h3 /><br />''<br />''<br />
