Volcano erupts in Indonesia, killing at least 13 people

<span style="color: #222222;">A volcano on the Indonesian island of Java has erupted, killing at least 13 people and injuring nearly 100 others. Some people are trapped around the mountain. Indonesian authorities said, Mount Semeru in East Java Province erupted yesterday. It is located 130 kilometers south of Indonesia's second-largest city, Surabaya. The authorities say, the volcano spewed smoke as high as 12,000 meters and lava flows reached more than 500 meters from the crater. Video footage shared by local officials shows people running away in panic from billowing smoke. Officials say, more than 900 residents have been evacuated but there are reportedly still a number of people left behind.</span><br />
