Volcano ash triggers panic in Indonesia

Indonesia's most active volcano in Central Java has erupted again this morning and spewed hot ash up to 1,000 meters high. An official at Volcanology and Mitigation Agency in Yogyakarta said, the hot ash spread toward southern direction by up to more than 4 kilometers. The eruption triggered panic among thousands of evacuees living in barracks in Kaliurang of Sleman district. Mount Merapi with 2,968 meters high started eruption on October 26, killing at least 36 people and displacing more than 40,000 others.
