Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh visited Bahrain and held talks with senior ministers on issues related to labour. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Viaks Swarup in a tweet informed that Mr Singh visited Manama and held talks with Ministers of Labour and Interior in this regard. <br/><br/>There are nearly five million expatriate Indians in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. A majority work as blue collar workers, and there have been instances of labour-related issues.
