Viswanathan Anand seals Candidates Chess tournament

Five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand has sealed the Candidates Chess tournament at Khanty Mansiysk, Russia. Anand drew against Peter Svidler of Russia in the 14th and final round on Sunday, and ended the tournament on 8.5 points, a full point ahead of Sergey Karjakin.The Indian ace thus officially earned the right for a re-match with Norway's World Champion Magnus Carlsen, who dethroned Anand of the title in Chennai last year.The bidding for Anand-Carlsen match are now open and FIDE, the apex chess body, will decide the awarding of this match after receiving all the bids by April 30th this year. The match will be held from November 5-25.
